One of my favourite web-based magazines, PingMag have just published an interview with a founder of digmeout. digmeout is an art project based in Osaka who discover and promote many young artists and designers throughout Japan.
When I visited Japan three years ago I bought a book featuring the work of some of the artists associated with digmeout. One of my favourite artists featured in the book is called Yusuke Nakamura. His images combine beautiful scenes from everyday life in Japan with strange fantastical creatures and patterns. Here is one example:
